TCM's 31 Days of Oscar

Hey everyone! It's been a long, long time since I have actually posted a "real" entry. So here goes!

February of each year is one of my favorite months. It has Valentine's Day, Mardi Gras, Groundhog Day... and of course, it's Oscar season. Which means, TCM has their 31 Days of Oscar! I absolutely love this time of year.

I remember a few years ago, perhaps 2008... I watched over 300 movies total in a 31 day span. I can't even tell you how exactly. It became a sick obsession and I lost a lot of sleep. I was a junior in high school! Oh, the memories... High school was when I really discovered my passion for classic movies and well, movies in general.

I hope that those of you who watch TCM are enjoying the line up! I always do. I love catching movies I have never seen before like Cool Hand Luke and Pinky, but also love catching classic favorites like Casablanca, East of Eden, and The Awful Truth. Though I will tell you that I am slightly disappointed. They are sadly not playing Roman Holiday or The Philadelphia Story this year, two of my absolute favorites!

I've had an alternate sleep schedule for a long time, so I luckily get to see those early morning movies quite often. I love it! They help me dream of peaceful things in some way. Anyway, I hope you guys are discovering something new or watching an old favorite this month! And if you're not, that's fine, too. Hope you get the chance to watch something nice soon. (:

It's been a long, LONG, time!

After first starting this blog as a project, I really grew to love it... but have sadly abandoned it. I think I want to start doing movie reviews again, but I am not sure if I want to start adding other aspects to it. I'm not sure if people even look at this regularly! Anyway, I'll try to see a movie and post soon.

Just another quick update! Summer has approached me so quickly. I felt like just yesterday I was yearning to get out of school. Now, I am busy catching up with friends and doing my own thing. Lots of reading, movie watching, game playing, and cleaning!

I am planning a movie date [well, just me...] for sometime soon, maybe an Audrey Hepburn evening would suffice. :] I really want to watch Roman Holiday or Two For the Road [my two Hepburn favorites] again. Who knows!? I might decide to go all out and spend an entire day watching the beautiful lady on the screen.

Sorry everyone for the lack of an update! I have been busy with my second semester of college that I finally finished. Now, I have finally found some time to update. School was dandy, and I’m glad it’s over. I finally have time to relax a bit and not stress as often… and of course, watch many classic movies :].

I have been enjoying TCM A LOT these past couple of months. I loved Donna Reed as the Star of the Month this past month. It’s always a delight to see her and her beauty on the screen. I also enjoyed TCM’s 31 Days of Oscar, like usual. ^ .^ Always great chances to catch some of my favorites, and find some new ones!

I have a few plans for this summer, such as my vacation and working… ballroom dancing and going to flea markets, sleepovers and everything xD. Then back to school in the fall. I am super excited… taking a History of the Cinema course! That should be fun (:

I will give a good update soon :) Otherwise, leave me some recommendations :D

Hello everyone! I hope everyone had a very wonderful holiday and a lovely year... tomorrow is the start of a new year! I can't believe it. I have grown so much this past year, and have watched a ton of fabulous movies on the way. I graduated high school, I started college... so many milestones...

I will be celebrating/ringing in the new year by watching the annual The Twilight Zone Marathon that the Syfy [SciFi] channel shows :). I'll probably be switching from that to the Hitchcock Marathon that Turner Classic Movies is playing all day. I'm so excited! What can I say though? The Twilight Zone is my favorite show<3>
