Happy 31 Days of Oscar!

Hey everyone! It's been a long, long time... but I finally had the urge to write again!

Over the last few years, I've been busy with other aspects of my life--relationships, work, and other interests of mine. My movie watching has drastically decreased, but I am hoping to get back into the groove of it again... and this time of year always makes that happen!

I've been catching some wonderful movies lately. I watched The Great Lie (1941) for the first time yesterday, and also watched Arsenic and Old Lace (1944) with my boyfriend across the pond last week. I'm starting to get him interested in classic movies and I am pleased to know that he is actually enjoying them. :)

Anyway, I hope to catch a bunch of great movies during this year's 31 Days of Oscar, both usual favorites and new discoveries. I feel like it is one of the best schedules that they have had in years (I really do miss the "University" year though...). Definitely on my list this year:
  • North by Northwest (1959)
  • The Thin Man (1934)
  • The Awful Truth (1937)
  • Bonnie and Clyde (1967)*
  • You Can't Take It With You (1938)
  • Splendor in the Grass (1961)*
  • Rebel Without A Cause (1955)*
  • Gone With The Wind (1939)
  • The Philadelphia Story (1940)
  • Casablanca (1942)
  • Gaslight (1944)
  • Duel in the Sun (1947)
  • Twelve O'Clock High (1948)
  • Born Yesterday (1950)
  • The Birds (1963)
  • Roman Holiday (1953)
  • From Here to Eternity (1953)
  • Giant (1956)
  • Pillow Talk (1959)*
  • Psycho (1960)
  • The Apartment (1960)
  • To Kill A Mockingbird (1962)
  • Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (1967)
  • Birdman of Alcatraz (1962)
  • 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
  • Network (1976)
  • Annie Hall (1977)*
  • Kramer vs. Kramer (1979)
  • Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939)
  • The China Syndrome (1979)*
  • San Francisco (1936)*
  • The Artist (2011)*
I'll see as many movies as I can, but those are definitely on the top of my list! What about you guys? Any movies you're interested in seeing for the first time or for the tenth time? Let me know!
